Multidisciplinary Case Review

Following the child’s interview, LifeHouse personnel meet with the investigation team, including child protection workers, law enforcement officers, medical personnel, mental health professionals and prosecution to plan investigation strategies. Our case tracking system allows LifeHouse to follow the progress of each case through the child protection and criminal justice systems. The coordination of these services significantly reduces the child’s trauma, enhances the quality of the investigation, and improves prosecution and conviction rates of child abuse cases.

Education & Training

LifeHouse staff coordinate and conduct training for law enforcement, child welfare staff, prosecutors, mental health, and medical providers on specialized issues related to child abuse investigations, assessment, and the children’s advocacy center model.

Brave Talk: Adult Education Series

Brave Talk: Adult Education Series is a prevention education program designed to equip adults with the knowledge and tools needed to help protect and empower children. Through engaging and practical conversations, participants learn about topics including body autonomy, identifying safe adults, technology safety, recognizing grooming behaviors, and how to appropriately respond when a child discloses abuse or uncomfortable experiences. Brave Talk aims to strengthen the confidence of caregivers, educators, and community members so they can create safer environments and support children in healthy, informed ways.

Brave Talk

Brave Talk provides engaging prevention education for elementary students, from PreK through 6th grade, equipping them with essential tools to stay safe and make confident decisions. Our program covers:

Body Safety: Teaching about safe and unsafe touches and empowering children to set boundaries as the boss of their bodies.

Identifying Safe Adults: Helping kids recognize trusted individuals they can turn to for support.

Technology Safety: Guiding students on how to navigate the internet and social media safely and responsibly.

Brave Talk’s curriculum is designed to meet children at their grade level, using age-appropriate language and activities to engage young learners. We aim to build awareness, confidence, and critical thinking, empowering kids to protect themselves and thrive in a digital and real-world environment.

Victim Advocacy as Prevention

LifeHouse staff provides support not only during times of crisis, but also through education, prevention, and connection to community resources. Advocates are available to help caregivers and community members learn how to talk with children about body safety, healthy boundaries, and technology safety in age-appropriate ways. We believe empowering families with knowledge before abuse or trauma occurs is a critical part of protecting children and strengthening our community. Through guidance, support, and resource navigation, our advocates work to ensure children and families feel informed, supported, and connected.
